Student Rooter Bus sign ups at the Athletic Office

For the Girls Basketball state playoff game Wednesday 3/10/2010 6:30 pm game at Mac Court in Eugene, OR. Depart time for the rooters bus will be 2:45pm. The rooter’s bus will be back in Central Point somewhere around 11:45pm. The athletic Office will need to have the parent permission sheets for each student filled out, signed, and returned to the athletic office by 10:30 Wednesday morning along with the $30 for bus & gate entry. There needs to be a minimum number of 40 students, and two chaperons for students to have a rooter’s bus for the game or the bus will be canceled and money refunded.

DIRECTIONS – From Ashland and the South: From I-5 North, take Exit 192. Merge onto Franklin Boulevard. After merging, get in the left lane and follow Franklin Boulevard through three lights. (Look for a “UO Next Left” sign as you drive west on Franklin Boulevard.) At the fourth light, turn left onto East Thirteenth Avenue. Proceed two blocks to the four-way stop sign at Agate Street. Continue straight ahead to the Information Kiosk.

Congratulations to All Crater Winter sport teams for making the 3.0 team GPA O.S.A.A. Dairyfarmers Award with Wrestling placing 3rd in the top ten 5A schools.
The other sport teams are Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, Girls Swimming, Boys Swimming.

Golf Information 2010 Short bus – same schedule, leaves from Crater after school starting 2/25 (Mondays at 2)

Softball All practices on school days will run from 3:45 until 5:30 or so, and will be held at the softball fields. Athletes have been told to come prepared to practice even in inclement weather, as we will be outside as often as we can.

State & State Qualifiers

CONGRATULATIONS

Swim District 5A State Qualifiers: Crater’s Jeremy Selland was a double individual winner and Jonathan Melbo won one event. Selland captured the 50 and 100 freestyle, while Melbo was first in the 100 backstroke. Crater freshman Savana Schreiner posted a victory in the 100 backstroke.

Skiing – Slalom: Ean Flockoi for scoring in the top 3 boys and qualifying for the State meet at Mt. Hood Ski Bowl.

Cheer: At Portland, Crater  had a top-10 placing at Memorial Coliseum. Crater was fifth in the 5A/4A large division

Josh is selected as a finalist for the 2009 Nike-Steve Prefontaine Prep Distance Runner of the Year Award.  Winner will be announced Sunday, January 31.

OSAA Internet TV Website

WILSONVILLE (December 3, 2009) – The Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA), in partnership with When We Were Young Productions, has launched OSAA.tv.  The website (http://osaa.tv/) will contain live game action, as well as archived events and highlight summaries at no cost to the viewer.

“We’ve been seeking the right partnership to expand the online presence of our state championship events for the past year or so,” said OSAA Executive Director Tom Welter.  “This new relationship with When We Were Young Productions provides us the opportunity to take the next step in the evolution of our internet coverage.”

Fans will be able to watch their favorite teams compete during OSAA/U.S. Bank/Les Schwab Tires State Championships, beginning with this Saturday’s 3A, 2A, 1A Football Finals at Hillsboro Stadium.  This tripleheader will be the first live content on the site.

OSAA.tv already contains archived broadcasts and event coverage for other Fall activities, including cross country, volleyball and soccer.  Fans are also able to purchase DVDs of current year state championships and re-mastered videos of past events.  Additional coverage and archived events of Winter and Spring activities will be added throughout this school year.

Fall Sport Dairy Farmer’s Award

OSAA Oregon Dairy Farmers Award for Fall sports teams earning a 3.0 GPA or higher will receive 25 points for their school in The Oregonian Cup standings which is totaled at the end of the year.
