The Athletic Office will re-open Monday August 7th. Paperwork can be picked up in the office or printed online. Athletic Participation Permit, Code of Conduct and a current physical must be on file in the Athletic Office in order to receive your “Blue Card” to tryout for Fall Sports. Fall season begins Monday August 14th. Have a great summer!

Crater Baseball is going to STATE!!!

Thank you to all who came out last night!

As you’ve probably heard by now, our team beat Crescent Valley 9-5 last night securing their spot at the State Championships this Saturday. #2 seeded Crater will be playing #1 seeded Churchill at 10:00 am at Volcanoes Stadium in Keizer. Tickets can be purchased online at, click on the ticket icon, Adults $8  Students $5.

If you can’t make it in person, you can listen to the live broadcast free on OSAA or watch it live for a fee..

Congratulations Jay Campbell (who was also voted League Coach of the Year) and your Crater Comet Baseball team…..good luck at State!!!!!!

ps…some cool Crater Baseball trivia:

  • This is our 10 year anniversay of our 2007 State Title win and we are playing the same team! Churchill was the #1 seed then as well.

Your Crater Baseball team kicked off their holiday weekend with a nice 4-1 win over Putnam last Friday night!

Come join us TODAY, Tuesday 5/30, at Crater’s Anhorn Field as we host the

Crescent Valley Raiders in the State semifinals game!!!!!

Winner advances to the State Championship game in Keizer this Saturday.

Crater Baseball advances in playoffs!!!!

Your Crater Comet baseball team opened the 5A state playoffs at home last night with a commanding win over the Hillsboro Spartans 21-1. See the link below for game highlights and photos from the Mail Tribune.


Come join us at Crater’s Anhorn Field tomorrow (Friday 5/26) for game 2 of the state playoffs and cheer on our boys as they take on the Putnam Kingsmen. It’s going to be a beautiful day so bring your sunscreen!

Congratulations to our Crater Boys Track Team for placing 2nd overall at State this past weekend.

Congratulations also to our State Champions Andy Monroe (3000), Jantz Tostenson (1500) and Cal Duke (300 Hurdles)….who also set a school record at 38.21 seconds, almost breaking the State record!


Congratulations to our Softball team who beat South Albany last Friday night 10-0! They advance to the 1st round of playoffs this Wednesday 5/24 at 5:00 pm as they take on the Kingsmen at Putnam High School.

Congratulations Andy Monroe, Crater’s super fast super star!!!!!

Crater Junior Andy Monroe ran the nation’s fifth-fastest high school mile at the Nike/Jesuit Twilight Relays track and field meet Friday, according to officials.

Monroe won the elite event in 4 minutes, 9.45 seconds, improving on his personal best — set in this meet last year — by seven seconds.

Monroe’s time converts to a 3:51.04 time for 1,500 meters, which is more than six seconds faster than both his PR and the best time run in the state this year.

“I’m not surprised at all,” said Crater coach Justin Loftus. “I’m happy he broke through that barrier. Breaking 4:10 was a huge step moving forward.”
